What is the Inclusion Council, and what will it do?
The Inclusion Council is a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary and multi-identity group of team members who will serve as advisors. This group will help foster an environment of respect and acceptance; build awareness and education around diversity issues; create a more collaborative, creative and engaged workforce; identify and address unconscious bias and DEI related issues; and find ways for U.S. Engineering to provide a safe space to discuss diversity-related matters.
We know that we must be intentional about maintaining and promoting an equitable business environment. We will challenge ourselves to think creatively, draw on existing and emerging best practices concerning diversity and inclusion and gather input from Team Members and other expert resources. The Council will help establish goals and best practices, create learning opportunities, monitor outcomes and report progress.
As the world around us keeps changing, we want to ensure that our culture of continuous improvement gives every team member the chance to seek out, hear, respect and value our many differences as a competitive advantage!
